There are a multitude of reasons to use a ceramic mug (and a few not so desirable reasons).  Ceramic mugs are reusable (environmentally friendly), retain temperatures longs (whether hot or cold) depending on the surrounding environment, easy to clean, even if stained over time the taste remains unchanged and practicable for every day use.  The downside to ceramic is of course they can break when dropped or banged.

Care Instructions: The mug can be washed by hand or in a dishwasher.  Please note, depending on the dishwasher and detergents, over time the ink may look fuzzy at the edge. If washing by hand you can scrub the outside of the mug, even over the image/phrase.  Note is you utilize a very abrasive scrubber, you can etch into the ceramic which will dull the mug and potentially damage the image/phrase. Please do not use or fill broken, cracked or damaged mugs. Please be careful not to burn or scald yourself when hot items are in or added to the mug.
